Goals: My goal is to use my personal journey as a source of strength and inspiration to uplift and empower women—especially those facing cultural, social, or community-based barriers. Through mentorship, advocacy, and education, I aim to help women recognize their potential, pursue their dreams with confidence, and overcome the obstacles that too often limit their opportunities. Having walked a similar path myself, I am deeply committed to creating spaces where women feel seen, supported, and empowered to thrive through the transformative power of education.

Civility: Civility begins with a commitment to open, respectful communication across cultures, races, and religions. Through dialogue, we build understanding, foster mutual respect, and strengthen the fabric of our diverse communities. While not everyone may have the resources to organize interfaith or multicultural events, the principles of civility can be practiced in everyday interactions. It may be as simple as learning about a colleague’s religious holiday, showing interest in a new local cultural center, or asking about the languages spoken by those around us. These small acts of engagement cultivate empathy and lay the foundation for a more inclusive and respectful society.

Biography : During her time in the U.S., Hiba has actively participated in tutoring, working, and volunteering. She found particular fulfillment in tutoring math and chemistry, which gave her the opportunity to connect with students from a wide range of cultural, national, and religious backgrounds. These experiences expanded her understanding of diversity and strengthened her commitment to inclusive education.

Having navigated her own journey through cultural and societal expectations, Hiba is deeply passionate about empowering women. She advocates for education as a tool for transformation and is committed to helping others overcome personal and community-based obstacles—challenges she has faced firsthand.

After taking a leave of absence, Hiba returned to Seattle University and earned her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2020. Today, she continues to use her voice and experience to inspire women to pursue their goals with confidence and determination.
