Alfie Scholars program increases award to $15,000

The Alfie Scholars Program at Seattle University is now accepting applications for the 2019-2020 cohort. Alfie Scholars receive $15,000 per year for two years to complete their bachelor’s degrees. In addition to the scholarship, each scholar receives:

• Individual advising and instruction

• Academic enrichment programs

• Leadership and civility training

We are admitting 10 Alfie Scholars this year.

To be considered for an Alfie Scholarship, applicants must have gained acceptance into Seattle University undergraduate programs through the regular transfer application processes and must have the following additional minimum qualifications:

• Enrollment in a community college during the current academic year

• Two years of college credits (90 credits) and/or an A.A. degree by August 1

• A minimum undergraduate grade-point average of 3.5

• A minimum of 4 quarters completed at the time of application

• Leadership skills that will enable her or him to serve the community and foster civility in her or his chosen profession

• Demonstrate financial need
