Congratulations to Anastasiya Davis (Nursing ‘22), the new public relations officer of the Seattle University Student Nurses Association (SUSNA).

A member of Cohort 5, Anastasiya has worked for several years as a medical and nursing assistant. Anastasiya quickly embraced her Seattle University community and applied for her position in May, before the start of the new school year. She was elected at the end of June.

In her role as public relations officer, Anastasiya will establish a continuous communication channel with all levels of the association, including the state association, and do community outreach for current SU students who are passionate about healthcare. Since taking on her role, Anastasiya has already designed two new logos for the organization. She suggested the idea because she enjoys being creative.

SUSNA is a member of both the Nursing Students of Washington State (NSWS) and the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA). SUSNA is also active in local community service activities and student government at SU. Additionally, the chapter officers of SUSNA organize attendance at the annual state and national convention each spring.

After graduation, Anastasiya’s goal is to further her education to become a nurse practitioner. “My desire to be a nurse is driven by a combination of things that I believe our society needs: compassion, altruism, and perseverance. I want to help people of all identities and backgrounds to feel acknowledged and safe.”
